[00:04:58] Hello, everyone. Good afternoon.
[00:05:01] Let's wait for a couple of moments, and then we will get started with the LMS orientation.
[00:09:28] Okay, so it's 3.5 PM here on my clock, and I believe we should get started.
[00:09:33] So that everyone's time is not getting wasted. But before that, just a quick introduction.
[00:09:39] My name is Anuja Azrinkar.
[00:09:41] I had the platform team here at Futurance Technologies, and I'll be the one who will be taking you through the platform walkthrough.
[00:09:48] The idea of having this demo, guys, is to just give you an understanding of the platform and the features that we have in place, so that you are aware of it beforehand, before you actually start using them throughout the group track.
[00:10:00] Right? And I see that we are currently at 60 participants, so I'm assuming there'll be more people who are also joining.
[00:10:08] But for those of you who are not able to make it, uh, please do not worry, we are getting this lecture recorded, so we will be posting this recording on the LMS as well for everyone to review.
[00:10:17] Once the walkthrough is completed.
[00:10:20] Right? So, uh, let's get started with the demo.
[00:10:24] The idea is to firstly conduct the entire platform walkthrough for you in the first 45 minutes.
[00:10:30] And then we can take up questions towards the last 15 minutes in case you guys have any.
[00:10:35] Okay? So, allow me to quickly share my screen, guys, and I will get started with the platform walkthrough.
[00:10:41] Before that, can everyone just give me a quick thumbs up to kind of confuse my voice is audible?
[00:10:49] Okay. Perfect, perfect. Thanks, guys. Yeah.
[00:10:50] Yeah, we can get you on the phone.
[00:10:53] So, I'll just quickly share my screen, and we can get started.
[00:11:02] Okay, so I hope my screen is visible for everyone, and…
[00:11:07] Let me just, you know, kind of…
[00:11:10] move to the LMS first.
[00:11:26] Okay, perfect.
[00:11:29] So guys, um, before I get started, just once again, I wanted to kind of reconfirm the LMS URL for each and every one of you.
[00:11:36] It's IITRUorkkey.futurens.com, okay? You've already been given access to the platform with the email ID with which you
[00:11:44] applied for the program, and the default password for all of you at the beginning would be welcome at the rate 123, which is W capital.
[00:11:52] E-L-C-O-M-E at the rate 123, after which you would be asked to
[00:11:57] change your password. So for those of you who have already accessed the LMS, I'm assuming you are already
[00:12:03] aware of this, but, uh, for… in case anyone is not tempted to access the LMS yet, this is how you will be accessing it.
[00:12:10] And in case you're facing any issues with the LMS access, we are here to help you out, so don't worry about that. We will also resolve those issues for you.
[00:12:17] During this walkthrough over here.
[00:12:20] Okay, so for the purpose of this demo, I've actually created a dummy student account, which I will be using to take you through the platform.
[00:12:27] So, let me quickly log into the account first to show you how exactly we have to go through.
[00:12:33] Okay, so I'll enter my username and password, which is already…
[00:12:38] Studio…
[00:12:45] Okay, perfect. So yeah, guys, so once you log into the LMS, the first thing that you will be seeing will be your dashboard.
[00:12:53] Where you'll be having the courses for which you are enrolled, okay? So you will be having module-wise courses for this program, and currently, I'm assuming you will be enrolled in the first module of the program.
[00:13:03] Okay? Besides that, you will also be seeing the academic information course, so that is something which I'll quickly spend 5 minutes on to help you understand what exactly this course is about.
[00:13:12] So, the academic information course, guys, is to give you an overview of the entire program, and to help you understand the details that you need to know before you get started with the program.
[00:13:20] Okay, so I'll just open the course first to show you what all information we have over here.
[00:13:26] So, the academic information course basically starts with the general section.
[00:13:30] Where we'll be having the announcements for you.
[00:13:32] So, all program-related announcements that we want to make at an overall program level, all of those announcements would be made available in the announcements section in the academic information course.
[00:13:42] Okay, these announcements would also get triggered as email notifications to the email which is registered for your LMS access, so please ensure that you also keep a tab of your emails, okay?
[00:13:53] We then come to the program details section. So, the program details section over here will be having information about your program, and how exactly you are planned to have the entire program scheduled for you.
[00:14:04] Along with the learning management system information. Okay, so this is something which I've already mentioned before. So, how exactly you'll be accessing the LMS. Okay, so this is something which I've mentioned, and then
[00:14:15] What is the program support looking like for you?
[00:14:18] So, program coordinator over here for this program is Simran Bhatija. She's also a part of this meeting, and I will be informing more details about her as and when we initiate the communication protocol slide.
[00:14:31] So, let me just quickly move back.
[00:14:33] to the communication protocol section.
[00:14:36] So this is something which is very important, guys, for you to understand, and for you to also route your queries in the right way.
[00:14:42] Okay, so the communication protocol is mainly designed for you and for us to handle your administrative and academic queries.
[00:14:49] So, in case you have any administrative or operational queries which include any details regarding LMS navigation, or any kind of questions which you have regarding your program version and all of that, you can route those queries directly to Sindril, okay? Her email ID is also provided over here.
[00:15:03] In chat, and please keep the XZ Futurance email ID in CC.
[00:15:08] Okay, this is our program email ID, which we use to track all of your queries, so that, you know, it's not getting meshed out on. And for any academic concerns which are related to your exams, assignments, grades, or questions related to any course content,
[00:15:22] You can directly drop your email to the respective course instructor and the teaching assistant.
[00:15:26] Again, this time, please keep us in CC, and by us, I mean exact livery and simple.
[00:15:33] Okay? So this actually kind of also helps us in coordinating your queries with the professor in case they're not responding. So that is why we always ask to keep us institutions so that we can get your queries resolved.
[00:15:43] much more efficiently.
[00:15:46] Okay. Then, after the communication protocol, we have what to expect next document. So, this is something which you can also open and go through. Okay, this will give you information about what happens a few days after the payment, and then 5 days to go, 1 day to go, in 1 week, and 2 weeks of your program, what exactly you will be doing.
[00:16:03] The communication is emphasized again over here, and then some FAQs, which are really important for you to go through.
[00:16:08] Okay, so you can go all… go through all of these queries so that majority of your DAOs will get resolved.
[00:16:15] And then, finally, after what to expect next, we have the academic orientation introductory Session links, which you might have already attended, right?
[00:16:22] So your orientation session was scheduled for today, and this was the link which you guys accessed it with.
[00:16:29] And the access of the recording will also be made available in this section over here.
[00:16:34] Okay, tomorrow you have your first session, which will be your introductory session link, so that is also made available in this course, and you guys can join those classes from the
[00:16:44] section over here as well.
[00:16:46] This is the LMS orientation link, which we are currently attending, and as I mentioned, the class is getting recorded right now, so once the class is over, the LMS recording will also be made available in this section.
[00:16:57] for all of you to review it later on, in case anyone has missed out on going through the entire class.
[00:17:04] Okay? And lastly, after the LMS orientation section, we have the discussion forum. So, the discussion forum over here, guys, is for all of you to interact with each other and to ask all of your program-related queries.
[00:17:16] So, the academic information course specifically
[00:17:18] to get addressing… to address your program-related queries. So, in the discussion forum, you can
[00:17:23] Get your queries discussed over here. It is very simple to add your discussion topic. You just have to click on Add Discussion Topic, and then you can add your subject and message, and then simply post to Forum.
[00:17:35] Okay, so once you post to forum, if the other people are subscribed to this, they will also get email notifications, and then we can get your queries discussed on the elements itself, directly.
[00:17:45] Okay, so just to show you an example,
[00:18:09] Okay, so this is something which I've posted on the academic information
[00:18:13] Of course, at the moment, just as a demo, I will be deleting this, because…
[00:18:18] You guys might get confused, okay? But once the discussion is live, the other students who are part of this course, they will also be getting notifications.
[00:18:25] And then they can also come and contribute over here, okay? Because the demo and the course is actually, you know,
[00:18:34] with live participants, I will be deleting this later on, okay? But this is just an example of how exactly you can get started.
[00:18:41] Now that we have completed the…
[00:18:43] academic information course. On the right side, I'll also come back to the dashboard now to show you what are the blocks that we have in place.
[00:18:50] Okay, so we have the calendar block over here, and then the upcoming events block.
[00:18:55] So these two blocks are basically to give you an understanding of all the events which will be planned for you throughout the program. So these would be your assignments, your quizzes, your live classes.
[00:19:04] And you can access them directly in this monthly calendar view, as well as your upcoming events view.
[00:19:09] Okay? If in case you want to directly go to your calendar page to get the details in a much more clearer way, you can simply click on the full calendar link over here.
[00:19:18] And that will open up your calendar page for you. And all the events which are planned, they will be available inside the calendar page over here.
[00:19:25] So this is something which we have just planned for the demo right now. These are activities which are not currently there in your calendar.
[00:19:33] So please don't worry about that. Okay, in case you want to switch from a monthly view to a day view or an upcoming events view, that is something which you can also do by simply moving the tab from month to day.
[00:19:43] Okay, and this is how you take Vice Calendar will also look like.
[00:19:47] So right now, on my calendar, I'm seeing the program orientation link, I'm seeing the navigation for quizzes, as well as the assignments which I've planned.
[00:19:56] So, this is something which is there on my calendar, and when I move to the upcoming events section,
[00:20:01] This is, again, whichever… which is a calendar view for all the future events which are there for you, okay?
[00:20:06] So, this is the way you will be seeing your calendar section.
[00:20:11] Now, uh, let's quickly move to the course page.
[00:20:15] Which is actually the most important part of the demo.
[00:20:18] So, what I've done right now is I actually made a clone of your Module 1 course.
[00:20:23] With a few dummy content, so that I can actually help you understand the setup that we have in place.
[00:20:28] And let me just quickly open the course now to show you the setup that we've done, okay?
[00:20:35] Perfect. So, inside the Module 1 Foundations of AI and ML Orientation course right now, we have the General section once again.
[00:20:44] Within the general section, guys, we have the announcement section and the attendance section.
[00:20:49] Now, the announcement section over here is, again, something which will be posted for your…
[00:20:54] course-specific announcements only, okay? So, in this course, the Module 1 course that we have,
[00:21:00] All the announcements which will be made will be specific to this module only.
[00:21:03] Okay? Again, these would get notified to you on your…
[00:21:07] LMS on your email IDs as well, as notifications, and this is just a dummy announcement which we've made right now, just for you to
[00:21:14] for you to see are exactly the announcements will look like.
[00:21:17] Okay? Then, uh, we will go to the attendance section.
[00:21:23] In the general module, we also have the attendance, where you will be getting the live classes attendance, which we are tracking.
[00:21:30] Okay, all the classes which we are conducting on Zoom, it is important that you join those classes with your LMS-registered email ID only.
[00:21:37] Okay, and that is how your attendance will get tracked, and it will get updated on the LMS in the attendance
[00:21:43] activity over here. So when I click on the attendance activity, if you see currently we are in November, uh, maybe I've updated, yeah, so I've updated a few dummy…
[00:21:53] sessions for October 26th and 28th, and this is how your
[00:21:58] attendance will look like, okay? So, against every class, you will be seeing your status if you're marked present or absent, okay?
[00:22:04] And in case you have attended the class and you've been marked absent, you can always get in touch with us by mailing to simran and exec delivery, so that we can check the records and update in case there is any discrepancy over there.
[00:22:17] Okay? So, this is regarding the attendance section, and how exactly you can view it.
[00:22:22] After the general section, we then have the futurist Learning Assistance. Now, this is something which…
[00:22:28] is an add-on that we have provided for each and every one of you.
[00:22:31] to give you some more details, the Futurance Learning Assistance is an AI-powered chatbot, which we are providing to you to aid and, you know, improve your academic journey.
[00:22:41] with respect to the live classes, as well as the, you know, uh…
[00:22:45] industry lectures, which we'll be having through the external experts, right?
[00:22:51] So, we have already provided a very detailed user manual for each and every one of you to go through, so I do not want to waste a lot of time over here, but to provide you a small
[00:22:58] demo of it. The Futures Learning Assistant will be available for you in every course, and it will be made available for the live lectures which are part of your program.
[00:23:08] So, for every lecture which is available to you, you will be able to then come and chat
[00:23:12] With that lecture to get your queries resolved, and these queries can be regarding the summary that you want to derive from that chapter, regarding any timestamp-specific questions which you want to have and discuss. So all of that is possible with the Futures Learning Assistant.
[00:23:27] To give you a quick walkthrough or demo.
[00:23:29] Let me just…
[00:23:31] ask a very simple question.
[00:23:46] Okay, so I've just asked a very simple, basic question regarding the lecture summary for this lecture, which I've opened.
[00:23:53] Okay, and this is how the futurist Learning Assistant will also provide you the details.
[00:23:58] We also have the option of changing the language from English to Hindi or English. Okay, so if that is something which you are comfortable with, we can also do that.
[00:24:06] We also create a video outline for you, so every lecture is broken down into sections, which will give you an understanding of what exactly were the details that were discussed
[00:24:16] During the lectures, okay? So, for example, this class, I believe, was for 2 hours, and it is broken down into multiple sections.
[00:24:24] With each being detailed out to give you a summary outline as well.
[00:24:28] Now, once you're sure that you've gone through the entire session, okay, you can then
[00:24:33] kind of test yourself. So, in case you want to quiz yourself to understand if you've been aware of the questions and the topics.
[00:24:39] You can go to test yourself and then get started with the quiz. Now, this is again an auto-generated quiz, which will help you to practice the topics which are being covered in this particular lecture only.
[00:24:49] Okay, so once you answer the question correctly, you'll be allowed to move to the next question, and then get started with the…
[00:24:55] Next question again. Similarly, we also have an option of preparing yourself for the exams.
[00:25:01] So whatever is the topics that are being covered in the lecture, we will be auto-generating a few questions for you, which you can then also use and answer.
[00:25:10] So once you click on answer this question, it will open up a live editor, where you can just simply start answering the questions to test yourself, and also get hints if required.
[00:25:19] Okay, so not sure about this answer.
[00:25:25] If I click on Get a Hint,
[00:25:27] Okay, so the hinge will also help me understand what are the keywords which I need to use, how exactly I should answer this question, and what length.
[00:25:36] So all of that will be provided to you when you're attempting the
[00:25:41] prepare for exams section, okay?
[00:25:43] So, this is a quick demo of the FutureTense Learning Assistance, guys. Uh, you guys can also start using it once we make it live for you for the classes, okay? So…
[00:25:52] This will be, I think, made available for you in the upcoming weeks, once your live lectures are also started.
[00:25:57] Okay, so after the general and the futurist Learning Assistance section, we will then be having your weekwise content on the LMS, so…
[00:26:05] This is how your V request structure will look like.
[00:26:07] Every week, you will be having your live classes, and I believe you'll be having two live classes during the week.
[00:26:13] Okay, so these are the live sessions which will be available for you inside this section.
[00:26:18] You can simply click on the session URL over here.
[00:26:23] And then it will open up the Zoom page where you have to register for the meeting.
[00:26:27] Now, it is really important, as I mentioned previously, for you to register using your LMS registered name and email ID, because how your attendance will also get tracked.
[00:26:36] Okay, and once you register for the class, you will then be allowed to access the live classes.
[00:26:42] Below the live classes, the recordings will also be made available for you. So, once the class is over, the recording gets pushed to our cloud, and then we get them uploaded to the
[00:26:52] LMS over here, okay? So, below the live lecture links, every week, you will be also getting the recordings for you to review.
[00:26:59] Any material which is shared to the students to kind of go through, all of that will be also available in the weekly content.
[00:27:06] Okay, so this is the optional study guide, which I've just added.
[00:27:09] for your review as part of the demo, and this is how exactly your material will also be available on the LMS for you.
[00:27:17] to review on week-on-week basis, okay? If in case, uh, the professor is okay with us to keep this material as downloadable, we will be allowing you to download it the way it is downloadable right now.
[00:27:27] Otherwise, the materials will then be only available for viewing on the LMS screens itself.
[00:27:33] Okay? So, this is something which is, again, dependent on the professors, and we cannot
[00:27:38] control that, but if the professor's allowing us to keep this as downloadable, we will do that.
[00:27:46] So, now that I have covered the weekly structure,
[00:27:50] The next important… so, week twos, again, I've just…
[00:27:54] put two weeks in this demo course, so I'm not gonna spend a lot of time on week 2. The structure will remain the same.
[00:27:59] Okay? The next important, uh, section which I want to spend time on is the assignment and quiz section.
[00:28:06] So the assignment and quiz section, guys, is where you will be conducting your continuous evaluation activities, okay?
[00:28:13] So, as part of the program, you'll be having quizzes and assignments, which we are required to submit, and those will be available for you in the assignment and Quiz section.
[00:28:20] So for every assignment that you're doing, for every quiz that you're doing, there'll be an opening date and a due date, so those details will be available for you on your screen itself.
[00:28:28] So it is important for each and every one of you to submit the assignments within the due date. Otherwise, the submissions can get locked, and you will not be allowed to submit it unless we get approvals from the faculty.
[00:28:39] Okay, so now the idea is to give you an overview of how to attempt the assignments. So, firstly, we'll start off with the assignment activity, which will be a file upload assignment.
[00:28:49] Okay? So I will click on this week one assignment activity over here.
[00:28:54] And once I do that, I'll be seeing this page where I'll be again seeing the opening date and the due date, along with some important instructions.
[00:29:01] Now, over here, if in case the professors attached any kind of a file for you to download and review, maybe a data set or maybe some case study, those can be downloaded first.
[00:29:11] then you can review it, and then get started with the
[00:29:14] submissions, okay? So submission of the assignment is really simple, guys, okay? You have to just click on the Add Submission button over here.
[00:29:21] And when you do that, you will be seeing two different types of submissions. One is an online text submission, and one is a file submission.
[00:29:28] Okay? So, in case you want to upload a file from your local system, you come to the file submission section over here.
[00:29:35] And then you simply click on this icon to upload the file from your local system.
[00:29:39] Okay, so I click on upload a file, I click on Choose File, and then I simply choose the file from my…
[00:29:46] system over here. Okay, so I will select a dummy file right now, and then upload this.
[00:29:52] As part of my submission. So once I've uploaded the file, I simply click on Save Changes.
[00:29:58] Okay, so once I've submitted my assignment, my submission status gets changed to submitted for grading, and I also get to see how early or how late my assignment submission was. So, in case your submission was done maybe before the due date,
[00:30:11] And if it's not graded at the moment, you still have the option of editing your submission or removing your submission to upload it again, in case you kind of identified that there was an issue with the assignment.
[00:30:20] Okay? So this is how your assignment submissions will look like. The only note over here is for you to kind of get it done before the due dates, because then it becomes a challenge to
[00:30:31] get the approvals from the faculty.
[00:30:33] Okay? Next, after the assignments, we will go to the quiz section.
[00:30:38] So, when we're doing quizzes, guys, there will be two different types of quizzes. One will be a free-to-navigate quiz where you can move from one question to another freely.
[00:30:48] Okay, and then there could also be sequential quizzes.
[00:30:51] So over here, in a sequential quiz, you are not allowed to backtrack, okay? So when I'm saying backtracking, no backtracking, what I mean is, once you move to the next question, you will not be allowed to move back to the previous question.
[00:31:03] Okay, so I've just given a demo for both of those type of quizzes on the LMS right now.
[00:31:08] So that you can understand how exactly these courses will look for you.
[00:31:12] So, firstly, let's start with the free-to-navigate quiz, okay? So, every quiz, once again, will be having an opening date and a due date, and it is important for you to, again, attempt these before the due date is over.
[00:31:22] So let's open up the free-to-navigate quiz, and…
[00:31:25] When you open up the quiz, you'll also be seeing the time limit, which has been set for this quiz, right?
[00:31:31] So currently, I've given a time limit of 30 minutes.
[00:31:34] For this quiz, so once I start the quiz,
[00:31:36] You have to attempt it within the first 30 minutes, otherwise your submission will get auto-logged.
[00:31:41] Okay? So, I will click on the Attempt Quiz button now.
[00:31:45] And once I click on the button, I'll be seeing the start attempt pop-up, which I will be using to confirm my attempt.
[00:31:52] So, I'll click on Start Attempt.
[00:31:54] Okay, so once I click on the start attempt, my quiz has now begun, and if you see, the timer has also started ticking.
[00:32:01] Right now, I have 29 minutes 50 seconds to attend the quiz, and because this is a sequential quiz,
[00:32:07] Right now, there are 5 questions on this page, and because I'm allowed to freely navigate the quiz, I can simply move to question 8.
[00:32:14] And start checking out what was the 8th question in the quiz, right? So this is how you're free to navigate quiz will look like, and to attend them, it's fairly simple. You simply have to
[00:32:24] Choose the options which you feel are right.
[00:32:26] Okay, so let me just quickly…
[00:32:28] attempt a few questions.
[00:32:33] Okay, perfect. So once you've attempted it, you can simply click on Finish Attempt.
[00:32:39] Okay, and then you will be seeing your summary of the attempts that you've done.
[00:32:42] So right now, if you see, I've attempted question number 5 to 10, but I've not attempted 1 to 5, so it says not yet answered for the first 5 questions.
[00:32:50] And because I still have time, I can also return to my attempt and start answering the questions which have left.
[00:32:57] So I can simply go back to the first question once again, and whatever it is that I've not attempted, I can answer those over here.
[00:33:09] Okay, once you've attempted all the questions, you can again click on the next page, and then finally your finish attempt.
[00:33:16] Okay, and then this time, if you see the summary has now been changed to answers saved for all of your questions.
[00:33:22] Okay, so once you've attempted all your questions, you simply have to click on Submit All and Finish.
[00:33:27] And then you have to reconfirm your submission by clicking on Submit All and Finish Again on this pop-up.
[00:33:32] Once your submission is completed, guys, you will then be seeing this review page, wherein you will be able to identify the marks that you've scored for the quiz, how much time you've spent,
[00:33:42] And against each question, you'll also be getting to know if you answered it correctly or wrong, okay? So, in case you attempted anything incorrectly, you'll also be seeing the correct answer.
[00:33:51] Now, this review page will only be open once the due date of the quiz is over, okay? So, in case you've attempted the quiz before the due date,
[00:34:00] You will not be able to review the answers directly. You will have to wait for the due date to get over so that everyone gets a chance to attend the quiz.
[00:34:05] And then you guys can collectively review your answers.
[00:34:10] Okay, similarly, in the quiz navigation block, you can also review if you've been answering your questions correctly or wrongly by seeing the color codes over here.
[00:34:17] So, red means you did not answer it correctly, and green means you answered it correctly.
[00:34:22] Okay, so this is the way you will be attempting your quiz.
[00:34:26] Now, this was a free-to-navigate quiz. Let me also quickly show you how a sequential quiz will look like.
[00:34:32] So, the setup remains the same. The only difference is that you have to complete the quiz in one go without backtracking this time, okay?
[00:34:39] So, I'll click on Attempt Quiz, I'll click on Start Attempt.
[00:34:43] And this time, my questions on the screen are appearing.
[00:34:47] one page at a time, right? One question at a time, on a single page.
[00:34:50] So if you see over here, I'm currently on the first question, and once I move to the next question…
[00:34:56] I will not be allowed to backtrack or move to the previous one. Okay, so this is the way your sequential quizzes will be set.
[00:35:03] And you will be allowed to only see the question once at a time.
[00:35:07] So, let me just quickly attempt…
[00:35:10] these questions now?
[00:35:15] If in case I just skip the question without answering it…
[00:35:19] I will not be allowed to answer it again, okay? So now this question, the fourth question which I have skipped,
[00:35:24] I will not be allowed to answer it again, so it's long gone.
[00:35:29] So, please be very careful when we're attempting the sequential quiz.
[00:35:35] Okay, so now that I've attempted maybe the first 5 questions, I can simply click on Finish Attempt from this
[00:35:42] Google's navigation block as well, in case I do not want to answer the rest.
[00:35:46] Okay, otherwise you can click on next, and then answer the questions as well.
[00:35:49] Okay, now this is the same screen, so I will not be spending a lot of time here. I'll simply click on Submit All and Finish, and then I'll again click on Submit All.
[00:35:58] Okay, so this is how your quizzes will look like, everyone.
[00:36:02] I hope this was fairly simple and straightforward.
[00:36:06] Okay, we might also be having quizzes which are
[00:36:10] proctored in nature, so this is something which we will be doing with our assessment platform, but whenever the time is right, we will be doing a separate platform walkthrough for that.
[00:36:18] Okay, so that is something which we can use for some more serious, uh, kind of, you know, quizzes or assignments.
[00:36:26] So, before we get started with that platform, we will be doing a platform demo for every one of you, so that you are aware of the features.
[00:36:31] And then you can use it accordingly for your actual classes, or for your actual assignments.
[00:36:36] Okay? Now, once the assignment and quiz section is over, we will then be having the discussion forum.
[00:36:43] So the discussion forum, again, will be available for every
[00:36:45] module of your course, and here we expect you to discuss queries regarding that specific module only.
[00:36:51] Okay? So, as I mentioned, this discussion forum was also there in the academic information course, but that was…
[00:36:56] to discuss the queries at a general level, or maybe to introduce yourselves to each other. But inside the course, you should
[00:37:03] restrict your queries to that core-specific content only, okay? So this is the discussion forum. Again, the…
[00:37:09] setup remains the same. You can start your discussion topic by clicking on Add a Discussion Topic, and then by simply adding the subject and the message.
[00:37:19] So, this was the core structure that we will be following for your program. Again, inside the course, we also have the calendar and upcoming events block again.
[00:37:28] Which will be only showing you events for this particular post this time. And then we have the completion Progress Bloggers, okay?
[00:37:36] So the completion progress block over here is for you to understand the different
[00:37:39] activities which are part of this course, and for which you've completed them or not.
[00:37:44] So, for example, right now, I attempted the assignment quiz and the sequential quiz, right? So that's why it shows completed to me.
[00:37:51] But I did not attempt a few other items which are part of this course, so it shows not completed.
[00:37:56] So this kind of helps me to track
[00:37:59] the different items which are part of the course, and how exactly I need to review and view them.
[00:38:04] Okay? Similarly, the last part of the demo is the grades section. So, all the grades which are part of your course, they'll be available for you inside your gradebook.
[00:38:15] Okay? Now, there will be some activities which are non-graded, there'll be some activities which are graded, so we'll be creating those categories for you on the gradebook, so that you can identify what were the activities which are part of your continuous evaluation or grading.
[00:38:27] Okay, whatever is non-credit, that will be moved to the non-credit category, so that you do not have to worry about that specifically.
[00:38:34] Okay, against each item, which is part of your gradebook, you'll be seeing the grade that you've received, and the percentage against the
[00:38:41] Entire marks that you will see.
[00:38:43] So this is the way you will be reviewing your gradebook, guys, and this is the way you'll be also accessing your LMS for the
[00:38:49] post-material. So, this was a quick platform demo. I think I…
[00:38:56] And within the time, so we have quite a few time, quite a few minutes to answer queries right now.
[00:39:02] Okay? And in case I was not able to explain anything clearly, I'm happy to repeat that, so…
[00:39:08] please, I think let's take up a few questions now, in case there are…
[00:39:16] You guys can raise your hands, and then we can get started with the questions.
[00:39:26] Any questions, anyone?
[00:39:35] Gagunjot, yes, Ugan Jodh?
[00:39:40] Hi.
[00:39:41] Uh, hi, Anoj. Actually, um, I had a question regarding the communication protocol which you shared.
[00:39:45] Yeah.
[00:39:46] So, if we can directly, uh, route our questions to the… Uh, whatever faculty and all.
[00:39:52] But where would be the details provided for those particular faculty or.
[00:39:57] Uh, the concerned person to share our queries with.
[00:40:00] Yeah, so Venjo, those details will be provided to you by Simran, actually, okay? She is the program coordinator for this program, so whenever you have any concerns regarding getting in touch with the faculty, you can get in touch with Simranth first, she'll be able to help you and clarify those doubts.
[00:40:15] Okay?
[00:40:18] Yep. Sonali? Yes, Sonali?
[00:40:19] Okay, understood, okay. Thank you so much.
[00:40:22] Hi.
[00:40:23] Yeah, hey, hi Anit. Uh, Anult, actually, I noticed that on the LLM… on the LMS, uh…
[00:40:28] Yep.
[00:40:29] Uh, both on the home screen, on the top right,
[00:40:31] said there is a message kind of icon.
[00:40:34] Correct.
[00:40:35] And there, we have something called groups.
[00:40:39] Correct, correct. So, actually,
[00:40:40] So, can you set some light on that?
[00:40:43] Yeah, yeah, so actually, the messaging icon is for you to interact with your peers, guys, so in case you want to use the option, you'll have to search for the participants.
[00:40:52] by looking at the search option, okay? So… and then, once they're available in their search list, you can start talking to them. Now, the groups feature something which we have never explored, actually, because the need never reached.
[00:41:05] The idea is that we could actually work on setting up groups which can then be used to communicate with each other.
[00:41:11] Okay, so this is something which is…
[00:41:14] not implemented at the moment, but we are happy to use it in case you want to use it.
[00:41:23] Yeah? Okay.
[00:41:27] Gautam Sharma?
[00:41:28] you are saying? Sorry, sorry.
[00:41:30] Yeah, Aditya will take your question after Gotham, yeah?
[00:41:34] Hey, so just I was, uh, when you were showing that, uh, document, right? So, there was mentioned that, uh, Windows system is needed, so if I am using MacBook, is there any problem?
[00:41:44] No, no, no, Gautam. So, MacBook is also fine, okay? Um, we prefer using the Chrome browser, though, because the LMS is best optimized for Chrome browser.
[00:41:55] Okay, so Safari is something, uh, if in case you're using, you might have to switch to the Chrome browser, but MacBook is completely fine.
[00:42:03] No, okay, okay. Because it was mentioning, right? It requires Windows and some specific version, so that's sort of messing.
[00:42:11] No, no, no, don't have to worry about that, yeah?
[00:42:14] Okay, yeah, I believe Aditya had a question first. Lokesh will take your question after that.
[00:42:20] Right? Yes, Aditya?
[00:42:21] By the mug.
[00:42:22] Are they just rewards, though?
[00:42:23] Yeah, yeah. So, I was asking that, uh, right now we can't create a group, right? And that…
[00:42:29] chatbot? Sweet chat.
[00:42:31] So… Okay.
[00:42:32] No, no, no, you will not be able to create the groups, Aditya, so the groups will be something, uh, which…
[00:42:38] Okay. Okay.
[00:42:39] We have to look into, okay? You will be able to find your peers, though,
[00:42:41] By searching for them, and you can start conversations with them over there.
[00:42:46] Okay?
[00:42:47] Okay.
[00:42:49] So, Neil Senni?
[00:42:51] Can you hear me?
[00:42:52] Yeah, I know.
[00:42:53] Uh, yeah, hi, Sunil.
[00:42:55] And I joined late, I just have one question. So, the LMS link which we have earlier,
[00:43:00] For the bridge course, it is the same one, or it is a different one?
[00:43:03] No, no, no, no, no. Thank you for asking this question, actually. Uh, so the bridge courses are being done on the academy.futureness.com LMS.
[00:43:11] Sunil, okay, so that is something which we have provided specifically for you to attempt those courses.
[00:43:16] to get the foundational knowledge before you start with your live program, right?
[00:43:20] The actual program which we'll be doing will be on the IITRKey.futterns.com LMS.
[00:43:26] Okay, so you've already been given access to that.
[00:43:28] the email ID will remain the same, and the default password is welcome at the rate123.
[00:43:33] So once you access the LMS, you will be asked to change your password, and then you'll get access to the module-wise courses.
[00:43:39] But we didn't… I mean, I didn't have any mail invitation where I will have this, uh, this link, the IIT.
[00:43:44] You must have received a mail from info at the redfutureInch.com, Sunil. Once we onboard you into the…
[00:43:50] I'm not able…
[00:43:51] You can try… you can try accessing the LMS right now, I'll share you the URL in chat.
[00:43:57] Oh, can you… yeah, yeah, please put it on the chat.
[00:44:00] Yeah, yeah, I will do that. Just a moment.
[00:44:20] Oops, I think I messaged someone else.
[00:44:27] Yeah.
[00:44:28] I got it on the chat, let me travel it.
[00:44:30] Yeah, you can try it once. In case you're not able to access, we will help you out, no worries.
[00:44:35] Okay.
[00:44:38] Neera Dre will take your question in the next 2 minutes, okay, once Sunil confirms.
[00:44:43] So, username is the… my email ID, registered email ID, right?
[00:44:46] Correct, correct, correct, correct. That's right.
[00:44:47] Yeah, sure, sure. Thank you.
[00:44:48] Password is welcome at that 123.
[00:44:50] Yes.
[00:44:52] development tips.
[00:44:53] Yes, that's right, Sunil.
[00:45:06] You can see that current password number, okay, yeah.
[00:45:09] I logged into that. Yeah, it is asking for me to change the password. It is okay, yeah, fine. I'll do that.
[00:45:14] Yeah, so you can change your password now, Sunil, and you can access the courses, okay?
[00:45:18] You're fine, thank you.
[00:45:20] So, moving forward, you will be using the Rurki LMS, Sunil. So, for all your live classes regarding the program, all of those will be available in the Rurki LMS.
[00:45:28] Yep.
[00:45:29] Yep, thanks.
[00:45:31] Okay, thank you. Neeraj? Yes, we had a question from Neeraj before this.
[00:45:37] Yeah.
[00:45:38] Uh, sir, just now, I… just now, I checked my mail, I didn't receive any type of mail, uh, just like that IT rule key.
[00:45:43] No, no, it will come from info at the redfutureIns.com. Actually, it will be your LMS enrollment email.
[00:45:47] Okay, okay. Okay.
[00:45:49] Okay, so… once you're enrolled into the LMS Neeraj, you get that.
[00:45:54] email as a default email.
[00:45:56] Okay, so whatever instructions I gave, Sunil, if you've not accessed the LMS right now, you can try it.
[00:45:57] Okay, no issues.
[00:46:01] In the same way, you'll be able to access the LMS.
[00:46:10] Sachin? Sachin Moe.
[00:46:17] Yes, Sachin, do we have a question from you?
[00:46:25] Yes, Sachin, I can hear you.
[00:46:26] Tomorrow, everyone? Is there any common, uh, group where all the participant for this course can discuss with each other?
[00:46:35] Do you have any quorum for that one?
[00:46:36] So, since the officially, we are not allowed to create any kind of unofficial groups on WhatsApp or any other social media.
[00:46:43] Okay, so that's why we have created the discussion forum on the LMS for you to discuss your queries over there.
[00:46:48] But, uh…
[00:46:52] Sorry?
[00:46:53] But that's the reasonable level, right? Not at a group level, or… Is it an individual discussion with Yuga, or…
[00:46:55] No, no, no. They all will be able to view your queries which are being posted in the discussion forum.
[00:47:04] So they can also get those addressed on there.
[00:47:05] Opium. Okay. Okay.
[00:47:08] Okay? Yeah.
[00:47:13] Any other questions, guys?
[00:47:26] Yeah, I see a few more hands raised.
[00:47:29] Abhisheikh Divan?
[00:47:32] Gaganjad will take the question after that, okay?
[00:47:34] Just wanted to know how will the attendance be marked? Is it, like, when I am joining the Zoom call, and I register for the call, and I join in, then my attendance will be marked, or how does it work?
[00:47:44] So, Abhishek, uh, your attendance gets marked based on the amount of time you're also spending inside the class, okay? So, in case you just registered for the class,
[00:47:52] And he joined the class and leave within the first 2 minutes.
[00:47:56] You can assume that you'll be marked absent, because the class will be basically of maybe a 1 hour or two-hour duration, right?
[00:48:02] So, you have to at least be there for the…
[00:48:05] maximum duration of it. We understand that in case there is any technical difficulty where your powers, you know, kind of getting dissampered, or there is some sort of a technical glitch because of which you get disconnected,
[00:48:16] We understand that, but we will be expecting you to rejoin the class, so that…
[00:48:20] The overall duration is at least
[00:48:22] more than 85% of the cluster.
[00:48:25] Okay?
[00:48:28] Okay, thank you.
[00:48:29] Okay, yeah, sure.
[00:48:32] Gagunjot, yes, you can ask your question.
[00:48:33] Yeah, just one final question. Actually, I missed the session which was scheduled at 10am in the morning today.
[00:48:41] I guess it was the program orientation. Uh, when will the recordings… and in future, the class recordings, when… after… how much interval it will be provided, the recordings and all.
[00:48:51] Got it. So, again, the orientation, the dynamic orientation recorded. Once we get processed,
[00:48:57] But in the back end, we will be getting that uploaded maybe by tomorrow. Okay? And similarly, for the live classes also, guys, uh, because the classes happen,
[00:49:07] Yeah.
[00:49:08] Uh, Anuj, uh, sorry to interrupt, but you were not clearly audible for, like, when you started. It was echoing a lot. Can you please repeat?
[00:49:15] Yeah, yeah, sorry, I'll repeat myself. So, as I mentioned, the academic orientation, which was scheduled today morning, okay, so we will get that uploaded on the LMS inside the
[00:49:24] Okay, dynamic information.
[00:49:28] Similarly, for the live classes, as you mentioned, the recordings which will be made available…
[00:49:32] Again, your volume goes, uh… a little bit…
[00:49:35] Hello? Is my voice not audible?
[00:49:36] Michael, uh, it was a…
[00:49:39] Uh, it's kind of going low at times, going high at times, so in between your, like.
[00:49:45] Okay, what were you able to hear, Gavinjod? I'll repeat myself after that.
[00:49:49] Uh, first few lines, like, the recordings will be available after 24 hours, something like that, you said?
[00:49:54] Yeah, so, correct, correct, correct. So, I'll just repeat once again. The academic information
[00:50:00] recording, okay? That will be made available by tomorrow.
[00:50:04] Okay, for the live classes, which we are conducting on a weekly basis,
[00:50:07] It's because the live classes are happening on two days, once the recordings are done, we will be asking for 24 hours of your time to get them uploaded on the LMS.
[00:50:16] Okay? So that is how the…
[00:50:18] Access will be made available for you on a weekly basis.
[00:50:22] Is that okay?
[00:50:28] Okay.
[00:50:31] Yes, Lokesh.
[00:50:32] Yes, yes, fine, thank you.
[00:50:33] Yeah, it's echoing, yeah.
[00:50:34] Yeah, I know, like, this portal will open only in, um, in Chrome or in any other
[00:50:38] like in Firefox or in Microsoft Edge, like that.
[00:50:44] No, no, it will open location in Firefox as well as Microsoft Edge, but
[00:50:47] I would recommend that you use Chrome, Lokesh, because there will be some features, again, which are best optimized for Chrome.
[00:50:55] Okay, so I do not want you to have any unexpected experience wherein you face any kind of a technical glitch, so…
[00:51:00] I would recommend that you use Chrome.
[00:51:03] Okay, sure, thanks for that.
[00:51:05] Okay? Yeah.
[00:51:14] Any other questions, guys?
[00:51:22] Okay, uh, Surya? Yes, Surya?
[00:51:25] Last question. So, is the quizzes, uh, happening, uh.
[00:51:30] Then, just like the… previous test, it was taken, like, just the diagnostic test, because we have to clear the, uh, like, cache, everything, right?
[00:51:40] So, we have to do the same every time.
[00:51:43] Or is it…
[00:51:44] No, so for the LMS quizzes, Surya, which we are conducting in the UI which I showed you, you do not have to…
[00:51:50] worry about clearing your cache, because that is something which is directly set up as part of the LMS feature, okay?
[00:51:56] what you were talking about is a diagnostic test which was being done maybe through the assessment platform.
[00:52:02] Okay, so that is the separate platform, as I mentioned, which we will also be, again, doing a proper, thorough platform overview and a platform demo for each one of you.
[00:52:10] Okay, so once that is introduced to you guys, you will be using that separately for your proctored assignments.
[00:52:17] Yeah, okay.
[00:52:22] Okay, guys, so I believe, uh, there are no more questions, and I also see that the participants are dropping.
[00:52:29] So, we will wrap up the session over here. In case you have any other questions which we were not able to answer, you can always drop an email.
[00:52:37] to simbron exact delivery.
[00:52:39] Okay, and we will be happy to take them up.
[00:52:41] Also, the recordings, as I mentioned, will be available for you on the LMS inside the Academic Information course, so in case any of your participants or friends were not able to
[00:52:50] view the class, they'll be able to review the recording at a later stage.
[00:52:54] Okay? So, I wish you all the best for the program, guys, and I hope I was able to help you out with the LMS demo.
[00:53:01] So, best of luck, and I will be in touch with you guys.
[00:53:02] Okay.
[00:53:04] Yep, please take care. Thank you.
[00:53:06] Thank you for the insight, summits.
[00:53:07] Thank you.
[00:53:11] Thank you.
[00:53:14] Thank you, Anoch. It was a great, uh, demo. Thank you.
[00:53:19] Thank you.
