[00:05:28] Hello everyone, good morning.
[00:05:31] Can you hear me?
[00:05:35] Yes, ma'am.
[00:05:36] Yeah, hi.
[00:05:37] We'll start in the next five minutes
[00:05:40] waiting for the rest of the people to join.
[00:05:44] And then we'll be there.
[00:05:45] Thank you.
[00:07:37] Hello, everyone.
[00:07:48] Hi, hello.
[00:08:33] Hello, everyone.
[00:08:33] Good morning.
[00:08:36] May we have cameras on please?
[00:08:47] Yes, thank you.
[00:08:49] Good morning and a very warm welcome

[00:10:19] IIT Rootkey has consistently been at the forefront
[00:10:22] of technological development and has played a vital role
[00:10:26] in addressing societal challenges through research
[00:10:29] and innovation.
[00:10:31] Before we go ahead, let me also brief you
[00:10:34] about Future In's technology.
[00:10:36] At Future In's, we recognize the potential challenges
[00:10:40] engineers with faiths, amidst the rapid growth of AI
[00:10:44] and its widespread adoption.
[00:10:46] Our focus has been on identifying specific problems
[00:10:50] confronted by Indian engineers and developing solutions
[00:10:53] to prepare them for the global job market
[00:10:56] through upskilling, as we believe that everybody deserves
[00:11:00] a second chance with their career dreams.
[00:11:03] Now, to enrich today's session with her industry
[00:11:07] experience and insights, I am delighted to invite
[00:11:11] our esteemed speaker, Ms. Indrani Goswami,
[00:11:14] who is a part of the Future In's leadership council
[00:11:17] to join us.
[00:11:19] Ms. Indrani is the director of analytics at Naikah,
[00:11:23] where she is building an embedded insight-led analytics
[00:11:27] function across business, product, and data science.
[00:11:31] She partners with leaders to translate consumer and product
[00:11:35] signals into decisions that move the profit and loss,
[00:11:38] driving experimentation, measurement, and scalable impact.
[00:11:43] With 15-plus years across e-commerce, fintech,
[00:11:47] banking, and retail, she is known for shaping
[00:11:51] high-performance teams and mentoring,
[00:11:53] rising analytics talent.
[00:11:56] She holds a master's of economics,
[00:11:59] and I would give her the stage to please address
[00:12:02] our students.
[00:12:06] Well, thank you so much, Pratnaya.
[00:12:08] And my apologies.
[00:12:10] I'm actually in the middle of a family situation,
[00:12:13] so I'm unable to turn on my video.
[00:12:16] But I promise I look what is there in the picture.
[00:12:20] So well, good morning, everyone.
[00:12:22] It is an absolute pleasure to be a part of the starting line
[00:12:28] as you all start a very exciting journey of learning
[00:12:32] JNAI and becoming leaders for the future.
[00:12:38] I think what really interested me
[00:12:42] to partner with FutureAns and to have the privilege
[00:12:46] of building the contributing and the curriculum
[00:12:49] that we have designed for everyone
[00:12:52] is the fact that we are very focused
[00:12:56] in giving you a curriculum which is going
[00:12:58] to make your day-to-day better.
[00:13:00] It is going to give you skills which you are going to really
[00:13:05] use as you start working with organizations,
[00:13:10] with community to build impact-driven solutions.
[00:13:16] There is a every 10, 15 years, the world of technology
[00:13:21] undergoes seismic changes.
[00:13:24] And it is our privilege to witness a change as big
[00:13:27] as this, which is going to really change the way how we
[00:13:31] are looking at the world today.
[00:13:33] It is not just going to have an impact on, let's say,
[00:13:37] how you do conversational search or how you write your queries.
[00:13:41] It is actually going to have an impact
[00:13:42] on how organizations are going to run.
[00:13:45] And this is the most exciting time
[00:13:49] to be in the world of technology.
[00:13:52] Everything is changing on a daily basis.
[00:13:55] And the most important skill for each of us
[00:13:59] is the ability to navigate through this change.
[00:14:04] Every course can teach you a lot of tricks and tools.
[00:14:08] We can teach you a lot of prompt engineering.
[00:14:11] We can teach you a lot of foundational models.
[00:14:14] But the one quality or the one skill
[00:14:16] that each of us needs to have as we embark on a career
[00:14:20] is the ability to keep adapting to changes.
[00:14:24] And I believe the orientation of the course
[00:14:28] is so geared towards practical uses.
[00:14:31] It's so geared towards building the ability
[00:14:34] to understand the very use of AI
[00:14:39] that you will be equipped with the skill of adapting
[00:14:43] to changes if you come in with an open mind.
[00:14:46] IT Turkey has always been a very strong institution.
[00:14:51] I've had the privilege of working
[00:14:54] with a lot of your students.
[00:14:56] I've hired them in the past.
[00:14:58] I've had colleagues who have been a part of IT Roorkee
[00:15:01] and I've seen that this is an organization,
[00:15:03] this is an institution which is deep rooted in innovation.
[00:15:07] And the way our course has been designed,
[00:15:09] it is to help you fuel your innovation
[00:15:13] through practical knowledge.
[00:15:16] So I'm very excited to see how this course pans out,
[00:15:19] how the team feels about it,
[00:15:21] how the students feel about it.
[00:15:22] Please, as you embark on this journey,
[00:15:25] also tell us how your learning experience is.
[00:15:28] And we would wish you all the very best
[00:15:33] and I'm very, very excited to be a part of this journey.
[00:15:38] Thank you so much, Ms. Goswami.
[00:15:40] I think this is the right pump
[00:15:42] that the students needed early morning
[00:15:44] regarding the program.
[00:15:46] Thank you so much.
[00:15:47] And now I would like to request Mr. Vikas Gupta,
[00:15:51] managing director and co-founder of Future & Technologies
[00:15:55] to shed light on the program
[00:15:56] and address the students.
[00:15:58] Mr. Gupta is a seasoned entrepreneur
[00:16:01] with over 20 years of extensive experience
[00:16:04] in tech publishing and talent transformation.
[00:16:07] Under his leadership,
[00:16:08] Future & Technologies has become synonymous
[00:16:10] with democratizing education,
[00:16:13] nurturing tech talent
[00:16:14] and creating end-to-end career solutions.
[00:16:17] In the era of generative AI,
[00:16:19] he is committed to upskilling and re-skilling talent
[00:16:23] regardless of the financial means
[00:16:25] to meet the talent demand of the future
[00:16:28] as well as developing innovative programs
[00:16:30] and collaborations with top institutes
[00:16:33] to meet next generation job demands.
[00:16:36] I would request Mr. Vikas to please address the student.
[00:16:41] Hi, everyone.
[00:16:42] Thanks, Prasad Mea.
[00:16:43] First of all, thanks, Indrani,
[00:16:44] for coming and speaking to the students.
[00:16:48] Your passion is very infectious.
[00:16:50] So I encourage students to be in touch with her.
[00:16:54] She is always there to help
[00:16:56] and she always will guide you to the right direction.
[00:16:59] So thanks, Indrani, again for coming today.
[00:17:02] But I think let's come to the more serious part
[00:17:04] of the conversation which is about this course.
[00:17:09] Now, you need to understand,
[00:17:11] many of you are coming back
[00:17:12] to the learning phase of your life
[00:17:16] after a few years or maybe multiple years
[00:17:18] of being in a job or a business.
[00:17:22] Now, I can tell you with experience
[00:17:24] and I am one of those that once you come back to education,
[00:17:30] there is no influence.
[00:17:31] You may be a VP, SVP, MD of a company.
[00:17:35] Here, everybody is a student.
[00:17:38] So don't start acting like a senior guy
[00:17:41] that people will listen to you the way you want.
[00:17:43] It doesn't work that way.
[00:17:45] The class is for all
[00:17:47] and we will always go from the lowest common denominator
[00:17:51] in terms of how education happens.
[00:17:54] There could be certain things I can tell you
[00:17:58] with experience of multiple batches.
[00:18:00] We have been doing this for years.
[00:18:02] A lot of you may think I know this.
[00:18:05] I can tell you, you can bluff your way saying you know it
[00:18:10] and if I give you an exam of it today,
[00:18:13] you will not score even 40.
[00:18:15] So what I mean by that is just keeping an illusion
[00:18:19] in your mind that you know some basics is wrong.
[00:18:25] You have to perfect it.
[00:18:27] Otherwise, you can't create perfect solutions.
[00:18:31] So understand it.
[00:18:32] This is about perfection, not about knowing something.
[00:18:36] You can't build applications.
[00:18:38] You can't build things, products
[00:18:41] just by knowing it.
[00:18:43] Oh yeah, I know about it.
[00:18:44] No, it doesn't work that way.
[00:18:46] Second, there will be a lot of times in my field
[00:18:50] that there is a lot of foundational material.
[00:18:54] I can tell you, and Dr. Toshani Wal,
[00:18:55] who is your program director for this course
[00:18:59] and she will teach a big part of this course,
[00:19:02] I can tell you she's the best AI professor
[00:19:05] you will get in India.
[00:19:06] Her credentials, impeccable.
[00:19:09] She is one of the most senior AI people in the country
[00:19:13] in any high ITI can tell you.
[00:19:15] So I can tell you she only teaches this course
[00:19:20] unlike other people.
[00:19:21] She does not teach any other course
[00:19:24] apart from her academic commitments.
[00:19:27] So you are really privileged, learn from her.
[00:19:31] A lot of things will be again foundational,
[00:19:34] but trust her, she knows what she's doing.
[00:19:38] And enjoy that journey of a top professor teaching you
[00:19:44] something you have not learned.
[00:19:47] You may have learned in the past,
[00:19:48] you may do it every day,
[00:19:50] but doing certain things every day
[00:19:52] does not allow you to perfect the second part.
[00:19:55] So what I mean by that is,
[00:19:57] you may be an AI expert, then why are you in this class?
[00:20:01] Because of the simple reason
[00:20:03] that you may know parts of certain things,
[00:20:05] but that is not enough for you to
[00:20:07] do what you want to do today.
[00:20:10] So keep patience, think about the whole cohort
[00:20:14] as a family or a group.
[00:20:16] Not that it's about me
[00:20:18] and I tell me what I do.
[00:20:20] Nobody here is privileged.
[00:20:23] Nobody is here getting a private tuition
[00:20:25] and nobody should think that it is their way or their way.
[00:20:31] We are very particular about these things
[00:20:33] and this is really important.
[00:20:35] Foundation is what we all lack.
[00:20:40] It's a very big problem in our country.
[00:20:42] Our foundational knowledge is not perfect
[00:20:46] and that's the reason we are unable to build products.
[00:20:50] We can be good in services.
[00:20:52] Our inability to build products
[00:20:54] is because of our perfection of foundational skills
[00:20:59] is not there.
[00:21:00] But I can tell you one thing
[00:21:02] and this is a quote from one of the top authors.
[00:21:05] You may not know it.
[00:21:06] When I did my computer engineering 35 years ago,
[00:21:09] there was this author in America called Chris Jamsa.
[00:21:12] His books on C and C++ are Bibles.
[00:21:16] I don't know, you must have not read them,
[00:21:18] but I can tell you he was one of the pioneers of those.
[00:21:21] I'm talking 40 years ago.
[00:21:23] He said, you learn your first programming language
[00:21:26] in three years.
[00:21:29] You learn your first programming language
[00:21:31] in three years of hard study
[00:21:34] because you need to understand the foundational aspect
[00:21:37] of how programming happens.
[00:21:40] But the second one you can learn in three hours.
[00:21:43] And the third one does not take more
[00:21:45] than 30 minutes to an hour.
[00:21:49] So understand that is this is all about
[00:21:52] that we want you to be that
[00:21:55] and we want you to get all the foundational knowledge.
[00:21:58] Then you can bit up your building blocks
[00:22:00] and plug and play and do,
[00:22:02] and this is what the world is today.
[00:22:05] Nobody is inventing new things today.
[00:22:09] They take the foundations of what was there,
[00:22:12] they plug and play and structure it.
[00:22:15] Like the perplexity guy says,
[00:22:17] I only build a wrapper around open air or chat GPT.
[00:22:21] It's a wrapper.
[00:22:22] Everybody says that it's a wrapper.
[00:22:25] So understand because his foundational knowledge
[00:22:29] of chat GPT was so strong,
[00:22:32] he could understand how can I exploit it to my,
[00:22:34] so please do not discount foundational knowledge.
[00:22:39] To build AI application, again to AI applications,
[00:22:42] there are many good YouTube videos,
[00:22:43] just go and have a look.
[00:22:45] There are no code again to AI applications available, do it.
[00:22:49] But they will not teach you anything.
[00:22:52] You may be able to build an application
[00:22:55] by learning how to architect,
[00:22:57] how to structure and how to think
[00:23:01] and then build.
[00:23:03] It is what foundational knowledge is all about
[00:23:05] and that is what this course is all about.
[00:23:06] Of course you will build applications.
[00:23:08] Of course you will.
[00:23:10] But this course is not about building application.
[00:23:13] This course is about making sure you are in a part
[00:23:17] of your journey that your foundational skills
[00:23:20] are so strong that any technological change happens,
[00:23:24] then it is those three hours or three days
[00:23:26] and you're up and running.
[00:23:28] So best of luck to all of you.
[00:23:30] We have built this course with a lot of passion.
[00:23:32] It is the first course on again,
[00:23:34] take AI applications in India.
[00:23:36] Others came after months, months after us
[00:23:39] and I can tell you it is an amazing course
[00:23:42] and people just love it.
[00:23:44] So best of luck and God bless you all.
[00:23:49] Thank you so much Viji about it.
[00:23:52] Next I would like to introduce the program director,
[00:23:56] Dr. Toshniwal.
[00:23:57] Durgatoshniwal is a distinguished academia
[00:24:01] and in the department of computer science
[00:24:04] and engineering at IIT Roopi.
[00:24:06] She with over 20 years of experience
[00:24:09] in artificial intelligence, machine learning,
[00:24:12] deep learning and big data.
[00:24:14] Her research focuses on data mining, AI,
[00:24:18] advanced computational techniques
[00:24:20] and she has significantly contributed
[00:24:22] to both academia and industry.
[00:24:25] Professor Toshniwal holds a PhD in computer engineering
[00:24:29] from the University of Minnesota
[00:24:32] and her research work has been recognized globally
[00:24:36] and she has been earning her several prestigious awards
[00:24:40] and honors including the PM Fellowship,
[00:24:43] the IBM PhD Fellowship Award 2013,
[00:24:47] the IBM Faculty Award 2012
[00:24:50] and the IBM Shared University Research Award.
[00:24:56] Additionally, she has been instrumental
[00:24:58] in bringing competitive fellowships to IIT Roopi
[00:25:02] Vishwa Sarva PhD scheme
[00:25:05] under which 21 PhD fellowships were awarded.
[00:25:10] She has also been recognized for her excellence in research
[00:25:14] with her work featured in prominent publications
[00:25:17] like DataQuest and numerous accolades
[00:25:20] such as the Beth Research Paper Award
[00:25:22] at the International Conference on Metacomputing
[00:25:27] and the Best Short Paper Award at IBM iCare 2011.
[00:25:32] I would request Professor Toshniwal
[00:25:34] to kindly address the students.
[00:25:38] Thank you, Pradhania
[00:25:40] and thanks to Mr. Vikas for the encouraging birds.
[00:25:45] A very good morning to one and all,
[00:25:47] very good special greetings to our learners of cohort two.
[00:25:54] So I extend a warm welcome to all of you
[00:25:59] to this second cohort for Generative
[00:26:02] and Agente KI course, certification course.
[00:26:06] And I think I'll, I'm very, very excited to have you,
[00:26:11] you know, build on this journey
[00:26:13] where you're going to explore the state of the art
[00:26:18] technologies currently today in this area.
[00:26:23] And you might have heard about buzzwords,
[00:26:26] you know, you hear about industries
[00:26:28] shaping themselves or reshaping to adapt
[00:26:31] to a Generative AI and Agente KI.
[00:26:35] And now you're also going to, you know, learn
[00:26:40] to create and work with such technologies.
[00:26:44] So we all know that Generative AI
[00:26:46] is actually refers, referring to systems
[00:26:51] that primarily create and they're capable
[00:26:54] of creating new content.
[00:26:57] That new content could be a lot of variety of things
[00:27:01] like it could be text, it could be code,
[00:27:04] it could be images, it could be audio, video, et cetera.
[00:27:08] And all this is primarily done with the help of patterns
[00:27:12] on the data that it has learned in the past.
[00:27:15] So, which is of a lot of importance
[00:27:17] when we talk about AI.
[00:27:20] And the traditional AI, if you think about it
[00:27:23] and some of you might already be working on it.
[00:27:26] So it just analyzes the data and it uses it
[00:27:31] to make some predictions and some kind of interpretations
[00:27:38] and all that.
[00:27:39] However, Generative AI actually, it works like assistant
[00:27:46] which is highly skilled and creative
[00:27:48] and it will help us to augment our imagination
[00:27:51] and productivity by being creative itself.
[00:27:55] So it's capable of generating new content.
[00:27:58] And so Generative AI helps us to create new content.
[00:28:06] However, agent-y AI is even one step ahead.
[00:28:10] So it just doesn't work on creation of new content
[00:28:14] but it also helps us to understand our goals,
[00:28:17] make decisions.
[00:28:19] So it can take decisions, it can take actions,
[00:28:24] it can adapt to situations based on the feedback
[00:28:29] and other things.
[00:28:30] So agent-y AI behaves like autonomous collaborators
[00:28:35] or agents that can help us to plan out us.
[00:28:39] They interact with tools or environment, coordinate,
[00:28:45] adapt and so on and so forth.
[00:28:48] Just for an example, we could have an agent
[00:28:51] that could schedule intelligently meetings that are required,
[00:28:55] research the information that may be required
[00:28:58] for the meeting, generate the reports.
[00:29:01] And I think all of us may, many of us are using
[00:29:04] the AI assistance to generate meeting reports,
[00:29:08] then send emails, write code, test it, deploy it
[00:29:13] and all this it will do with some minimal human intervention.
[00:29:17] So we can think of Generative AI in very simple terms
[00:29:21] as something which can create and assist us.
[00:29:24] Whereas agent-y AI is something that just not creates
[00:29:27] that things decides, acts, adapts and does all this
[00:29:33] primarily large to a large extent autonomously.
[00:29:38] So I think this course will help to learn all
[00:29:44] such kind of technologies that are kind of marking
[00:29:48] a paradigm shift in today's world.
[00:29:50] So from AI which was a buzzword years back or decades back now,
[00:29:57] you know, just AI was used as a tool.
[00:30:00] However, now AI will be used as a partner
[00:30:04] when we talk about Generative and Agente AI.
[00:30:07] And this is the opportunity which we want all of you
[00:30:10] to catch upon.
[00:30:12] So there are immense opportunities with this new state
[00:30:16] of the art technologies and with this kind of a course
[00:30:19] you will be able to capture some of the market requirements
[00:30:25] and you'll be able to see career growth
[00:30:29] with the help of such kind of knowledge
[00:30:35] and learn and enjoy.
[00:30:37] So regarding the course over the duration of the course
[00:30:41] we will go in depth into the concepts
[00:30:45] and implementation of Agente and Generative AI
[00:30:50] and Agente AI.
[00:30:52] And the approach that we will follow will be kind of a
[00:30:57] brick by brick or step by step kind of a progression
[00:31:01] towards the depth.
[00:31:04] So we will start with some basic concepts
[00:31:08] and based on the pace of the batch
[00:31:12] and the timelines that we have
[00:31:14] we'll go on proceeding further and further
[00:31:17] towards Generative AI and Agente AI.
[00:31:22] And hopefully you'll be enjoying.
[00:31:27] My suggestion to all of you is that while you are doing
[00:31:31] this course you should spend some time reflecting,
[00:31:36] learning and reading back whatever has been taught
[00:31:40] during the sessions because each session will be
[00:31:44] progressively leading to the next one
[00:31:46] and it's all like dots getting connected together.
[00:31:50] So congratulations once again for getting selected
[00:31:56] for this program and making a choice to join this program
[00:32:00] and I'm really, very happy and excited to have you all
[00:32:04] in this cohort welcome aboard
[00:32:07] and have a very nice and enjoyable and learning time.
[00:32:10] Thank you.
[00:32:12] Thank you so much Dr. Toshniwal.
[00:32:15] Before we go to the Q&A round,
[00:32:18] I would just like to take you all through
[00:32:20] the academic and policies.
[00:32:24] Can we have those slides on please?
[00:32:29] Yes, so I just wanted to give you all a idea
[00:32:33] of what you can expect in the next couple of days
[00:32:36] and to set the expectations right.
[00:32:38] So we will have teachings by of course
[00:32:43] the IIT Root Key Faculty and the remaining sessions
[00:32:46] will be by industry experts and senior practitioners
[00:32:50] who will take you through the practical implementations
[00:32:53] of the concepts learned about the program.
[00:32:58] Next with regards to attendance and participation,
[00:33:01] to make sure that you get the most out of this course,
[00:33:05] try to attend maximum classes as many classes as possible.
[00:33:11] 70% is the minimum attendance criteria required
[00:33:15] as per the Institute norms and we request you
[00:33:18] to kindly maintain the decorum of the class
[00:33:21] and ask questions which are relevant to the concept of.
[00:33:26] We have experienced that there are times
[00:33:28] when the questions can become irrelevant
[00:33:31] to the larger audience and may be directed
[00:33:34] towards a company specific problem statement.
[00:33:38] We would request you to refrain from asking those questions
[00:33:41] within the limited class period.
[00:33:43] You can definitely reach out to Dr. Toshnawal over email
[00:33:47] to check if you can connect with her later
[00:33:50] to discuss those specific problems.
[00:33:53] Since the class has a diverse academic
[00:33:57] and professional background, there will be a progression
[00:34:01] aligned to the curriculum that is best suited
[00:34:04] to the cohort, as Dr. Toshnawal also mentioned.
[00:34:07] And self-study is very much expected from you
[00:34:12] for deeper learning and to explore the areas
[00:34:15] which you find interesting and that are beyond the curriculum
[00:34:20] which you want to know more about.
[00:34:22] If I talk about the class schedule,
[00:34:25] the schedule is decided based on the faculty's availability.
[00:34:29] In case there are any unavoidable circumstances
[00:34:33] where the faculty cannot make it during the pre-slaught
[00:34:37] decided, the updated sessions for that particular session
[00:34:43] will be informed two to three days in advance
[00:34:46] so that you can manage your time accordingly.
[00:34:51] And for doubt resolution, if you have any academic or
[00:34:56] administrative doubt when it comes to your LMS
[00:35:00] or other queries that you have, you can always reach out
[00:35:05] to the program manager over xeddeliveryapparatefuturants.com.
[00:35:10] So xeddeliveryapparatefuturants would be your primary communication
[00:35:17] email ID.
[00:35:18] Any communication that we also have to send to you
[00:35:21] with regards to information about the program
[00:35:25] or any updates in the timetable
[00:35:28] or anything that needs to be informed to you
[00:35:31] would be done over email by this dedicated email ID only.
[00:35:35] And you can always get back to us with your queries
[00:35:38] and your suggestions to this email ID
[00:35:43] and we'll make sure that they are acknowledged and replied
[00:35:46] within 24 to 48 hours.
[00:35:50] Can we have the next slide please?
[00:35:53] Yes.
[00:35:53] So just to give you an overview,
[00:35:56] you will be provided access to two learning platforms.
[00:36:00] One is the academy.futurants where the bridge course is
[00:36:05] provided to you.
[00:36:06] I think most of you already have the access
[00:36:10] to academy.futurants.com.
[00:36:12] If you don't, kindly you can message in the chat
[00:36:18] and I'll ask the team to check if there is any issue there.
[00:36:22] Second, you would have the main elements
[00:36:25] where you have the actual courseware and all the links
[00:36:28] to the live sessions, which is the iatrurkey.futurants.com.
[00:36:34] Once you have been enrolled to these platforms,
[00:36:36] you would have to log in through your personal email ID, which
[00:36:40] is registered with Futurants.
[00:36:42] And there would be a default password, which
[00:36:44] you get to change.
[00:36:46] The class recordings will be made available on the LMS
[00:36:50] after the class has happened, say,
[00:36:52] another 30 to 45 minutes it takes to generate the recording.
[00:36:57] These recordings will only be view only and not downloadable.
[00:37:02] The learning material, any reference material
[00:37:05] or what the professor is using during the session
[00:37:08] will also be uploaded on the LMS for your review and access.
[00:37:12] But kindly note, this will not be a hard copy textbook.
[00:37:17] Everything will be soft copy available on the LMS.
[00:37:21] The in-student conduct policies, no iatrurkey alumni status
[00:37:27] will be provided or any additional offer letter from iatrurkey.
[00:37:32] However, students will receive access
[00:37:35] to the Futurants alumni network and the breakfast clubs.
[00:37:40] So these are career support activities and initiatives
[00:37:46] of Futurants to ensure that the alumni community is
[00:37:50] connected.
[00:37:52] Also kindly note, very important,
[00:37:55] do not share the iatrurkey content publicly,
[00:37:58] because it is under IP protection
[00:38:01] and it is very strictly adhered when
[00:38:04] it comes to these aspects.
[00:38:07] Any unofficial WhatsApp group or Telegram group
[00:38:10] is not advised.
[00:38:12] And any communication you want with us
[00:38:15] will only come through the XZ Delivery
[00:38:19] at theredfuturants.com email ID.
[00:38:21] So if you have any WhatsApp group,
[00:38:24] we would refrain from you to listen to any information
[00:38:28] that is spreading and only adhere to the communication
[00:38:32] that is shared over email.
[00:38:34] And we request you to have a professional and respective
[00:38:41] environment created during the classes.
[00:38:44] Everyone is coming here with a learning initiative,
[00:38:48] with a learning attitude, so we would want you
[00:38:50] to be empathetic towards your classmates.
[00:38:55] Finally, regarding the career support,
[00:38:57] we have a Futurants Career Assistance Program,
[00:39:01] wherein we help you with resume buildings, mock interviews,
[00:39:05] and a few other activities that are provided access to you.
[00:39:10] So this will begin pretty much in the second
[00:39:13] or the third month once you have gained
[00:39:16] the foundational knowledge and are acclimatized
[00:39:20] with the happenings of the session through the initial month.
[00:39:26] This will give access to the industry workshops,
[00:39:29] alumni networking, and career guidance from Futurants.
[00:39:34] So this is what I wanted to discuss,
[00:39:37] hence we all are on the same page
[00:39:40] before we start the program.
[00:39:42] Would request you all to,
[00:39:45] so we'll be opening the floor for question and answer round.
[00:39:49] And anybody who has questions kindly raise your hands
[00:39:53] and we will unmute you one by one,
[00:39:57] and you can ask your questions.
[00:39:59] Yes, Ankit, see.
[00:40:02] So actually I was trying to access the bridge course
[00:40:05] today and I saw that the access is no more there.
[00:40:10] So will it be provided again?
[00:40:13] Let me just take a note of it.
[00:40:15] I'll ask the tech team to check and we'll get back to you.
[00:40:20] Okay, and I have another question actually on the communication.
[00:40:24] So all the communication will be shared via emails, right?
[00:40:27] That's what you mean there.
[00:40:28] Yes, yes.
[00:40:30] Okay, but like I feel like if you have some sort of a
[00:40:32] WhatsApp group or some sort of a like a channel,
[00:40:36] then it will be faster to communicate
[00:40:38] in case we are having any issues
[00:40:40] because emails always take some time to respond.
[00:40:44] WhatsApp communication is not permitted.
[00:40:46] So emails is the only official communication
[00:40:51] that we will be using.
[00:40:53] Okay, because like if you have teams,
[00:40:55] then you can create channels,
[00:40:56] but because all this is on Zoom,
[00:40:58] so I'm not sure how it works over here.
[00:41:02] Right, like I mentioned,
[00:41:03] we will make sure that you are getting a response
[00:41:07] within 24 to 48 hours,
[00:41:09] but the communication will only be through emails
[00:41:12] and WhatsApp channels are not permitted.
[00:41:16] Agreed, but can it be like made more faster
[00:41:19] because 24 to 48 hours itself is like a huge SLA
[00:41:25] because we all are, I mean,
[00:41:26] most of us are working professionals.
[00:41:28] So the time is like of the absolute need here, right?
[00:41:35] So Ankit, if I may, Pradhna, if that is okay,
[00:41:39] can I respond?
[00:41:42] Yes, the battery is short.
[00:41:44] Yeah, right.
[00:41:46] Ankit, while we are setting an SLA of 24 to 48 hours,
[00:41:50] depending on the query,
[00:41:51] we might get back to you beforehand also.
[00:41:54] But having said that,
[00:41:57] we have experienced before with a WhatsApp group
[00:42:01] because there are messages coming one on top of the other,
[00:42:04] the messages lose their relevance and they get missed out.
[00:42:07] So WhatsApp and a lot of misinformation
[00:42:09] also gets spread on the WhatsApp group
[00:42:11] because anybody can send a message.
[00:42:14] So we have had several cohorts earlier also,
[00:42:18] we rest assured that any problem you have,
[00:42:22] depending on the nature of the problem,
[00:42:23] you're not saying that all problems
[00:42:25] will be responded in 48 hours, it's not that.
[00:42:27] But there are some problems which need resolution
[00:42:30] and planning at the back end.
[00:42:32] So depending on that, that timeline is set up.
[00:42:35] Okay, sure.
[00:42:41] Yes, Ms. Vagat, maybe you can ask a question.
[00:42:48] Hi, very good morning there.
[00:42:51] I have two questions.
[00:42:52] One is what will be the availability
[00:42:55] of all of these materials?
[00:42:57] Will we be able to access these materials
[00:43:00] even after the completion of the course itself?
[00:43:02] Because most of the time,
[00:43:04] during the project implementation or so,
[00:43:08] we may need to refer back to these materials sometime.
[00:43:12] So access granted to exceed,
[00:43:16] I mean the future ends,
[00:43:18] is it going to be there forever, at least?
[00:43:30] Hello.
[00:43:33] Swagat, are you able to hear me?
[00:43:37] Yeah, now I am able to hear you.
[00:43:39] Okay, so you will have access to the material
[00:43:41] for a little bit of time after the program is completed,
[00:43:45] but you'll not have access to it forever
[00:43:47] because this is AI and the content,
[00:43:51] the relevance of the content loses, you know?
[00:43:54] So there is no access to the content forever.
[00:43:57] And also please note that, you know,
[00:43:59] whatever the faculty teaches
[00:44:01] and some of the material that the faculty shares,
[00:44:03] they are also IP protected.
[00:44:05] And they will also change from time to time,
[00:44:07] but you will have access to the material
[00:44:09] at least six months after the program is completed.
[00:44:13] Okay.
[00:44:15] Okay.
[00:44:17] The second question is, you know,
[00:44:18] on the timing,
[00:44:21] I earlier also requested to have
[00:44:25] this timings, the schedule of the sessions
[00:44:27] a little bit early so that, you know,
[00:44:28] people not on, you know, IST time zones can also,
[00:44:33] you know, join, maybe I can take that offline
[00:44:36] and discuss also, but yeah,
[00:44:38] just wanted to bring it to your attention as well.
[00:44:41] Yes, so, you know, the timing is set up
[00:44:45] based on Professor Stoshniwal's availability.
[00:44:47] She teaches large portion of the program
[00:44:51] and because this is a large cohort,
[00:44:53] it's very difficult to align with everybody's
[00:44:56] preferred timings, right?
[00:44:58] So that's how the timing is, you know, decided.
[00:45:04] Okay. I mean, I do understand that.
[00:45:07] I mean, in case, you know, if we are not able to,
[00:45:09] you know, attend on the specified time,
[00:45:12] I normally, you know, check the material,
[00:45:15] you know, the next year or not,
[00:45:16] once it is uploaded and all.
[00:45:20] Not sure how it's going.
[00:45:21] Yeah.
[00:45:22] You still have that option.
[00:45:23] You'll have the recording.
[00:45:25] However, because you have joined a live online class,
[00:45:28] we recommend, you know, this is a limited duration program,
[00:45:33] right?
[00:45:34] So I understand it might be inconvenient
[00:45:36] and we totally appreciate that,
[00:45:38] but we would recommend you try and join the live sessions.
[00:45:41] That's a different experience altogether.
[00:45:44] However, if you're not able to join the live sessions,
[00:45:46] you'll also have the recordings available for you.
[00:45:49] It should not be impacting the attendance and all, right?
[00:45:53] Yeah.
[00:45:53] Okay.
[00:45:53] So the reason why that 70% attendance is, you know,
[00:45:59] put in is because we would want all the students
[00:46:02] to get maximum out of the program.
[00:46:04] So that's the whole idea.
[00:46:06] If you are not able to do consecutive classes,
[00:46:09] please drop a line to Professor Toshniwal.
[00:46:11] At the end of the day, the academic policies are with her
[00:46:16] and, you know, we would let her take a call.
[00:46:19] Sure. We'll do that.
[00:46:22] Yeah. We'll do that.
[00:46:25] Thank you.
[00:46:31] Yes.
[00:46:31] Next.
[00:46:31] I have a question.
[00:46:33] Sorry, Pradhyam.
[00:46:34] I have a question adding to what we just discussed.
[00:46:38] I know I understand that the criteria right now is
[00:46:42] about about 70% of attendance, but we are in a totally
[00:46:48] different time zone and if most of the classes are falling
[00:46:52] in a time where it's past 12 in the midnight,
[00:46:55] we can try to attend, but, you know, as it's 70% mark,
[00:46:59] it would be even a little difficult for us to catch up
[00:47:02] to that mark because even now this introductory session,
[00:47:05] it's around 1am right now for us in the midnight,
[00:47:09] understanding that.
[00:47:11] So that's the reason I would like to again rate rate
[00:47:15] if at the start of the program itself, if you can maybe
[00:47:19] get some, you know, preference from the candidates
[00:47:22] or who might have some timing time zone issues,
[00:47:26] if you can make a note of those candidates extensively,
[00:47:30] that would really help us.
[00:47:35] I think Devarathi, if I can come in.
[00:47:39] So for we'll, I think you can drop a mail and let us see
[00:47:46] how we can work.
[00:47:46] We definitely would want you still to attend the live sessions.
[00:47:51] However, if there are some severe sun stream,
[00:47:53] so please do write to us and let's see what,
[00:47:58] how best we can help you.
[00:48:01] Sure, Bamiya.
[00:48:02] We'll try to, I'll send out an email right after this session.
[00:48:06] Also, two more additional questions.
[00:48:08] One is regarding the certificate.
[00:48:12] Will we be getting a postgraduate certificate
[00:48:14] from IIT Roorkee or is it just a completion certificate
[00:48:17] from Future Ends?
[00:48:22] The certificate will be from IIT Roorkee.
[00:48:26] So it's like a career, a valid curriculum program,
[00:48:32] a postgraduate curriculum program.
[00:48:34] Is that right?
[00:48:36] It's not a postgraduate degree as you know,
[00:48:39] you know, this is a certificate program,
[00:48:41] but yes, it's a PG certificate program
[00:48:43] and you'll get the certificate accordingly from IIT Roorkee.
[00:48:48] Okay.
[00:48:48] And regarding the study material,
[00:48:51] we have mentioned previously that we might have access to
[00:48:54] up to six months post completion of this course.
[00:48:58] Can I request something?
[00:49:00] I know the material or the course that we have discussed
[00:49:05] and the examples we got,
[00:49:06] it might be outdated based on the current
[00:49:10] update or advancement of the technology,
[00:49:13] but if we have at least one copy of a course material
[00:49:18] or recordings for reference,
[00:49:20] even if we want to prepare for an interviewer,
[00:49:23] just you know, refresh our basic skills again,
[00:49:27] we can refer those not just after like,
[00:49:30] not just for six minutes post the completion of course.
[00:49:37] So Sai Bharat Vaj, I have made a note of this.
[00:49:41] However, it's a policy and it is very difficult
[00:49:44] to change the policy because multiple students
[00:49:47] or multiple people will have multiple opinion.
[00:49:51] So we will see what can be done.
[00:49:53] Okay.
[00:49:54] And my last question is regarding the communication.
[00:49:57] You have focused that email communication is the preferred one
[00:50:01] and there wouldn't be any WhatsApp or other social media platforms,
[00:50:05] but one of my concerns is that we have been receiving multiple emails.
[00:50:11] Due to some schedule or due to some misattention,
[00:50:16] we might have missed an email
[00:50:18] or we may miss some communication in one of the multiple emails
[00:50:22] that we're getting one after one.
[00:50:24] If we get something like a text message notification
[00:50:27] or any kind of reminder or a notification,
[00:50:31] not the email because in emails,
[00:50:33] we are like having a bunch of the emails.
[00:50:36] We have to open each one of them and see we might miss some,
[00:50:39] we may not focus properly.
[00:50:42] If there is any second communication also
[00:50:46] about the updates, course updates, that would really help us.
[00:50:50] So I would really recommend.
[00:50:52] Email is one way to send the messages, of course,
[00:50:56] but the announcements are also available on the LMS.
[00:51:00] So I would recommend all of you to at least check the LMS
[00:51:03] at least once a day.
[00:51:05] And you will see all the announcement that are made
[00:51:08] through emails also over there on the LMS itself.
[00:51:11] So that's the second channel that you have.
[00:51:15] However, based on our experience and based on multiple issues
[00:51:20] that have come up, any social media or WhatsApp channels
[00:51:24] will not be permitted.
[00:51:25] So you could check, you could go and I understand
[00:51:28] that you might get multiple emails a day,
[00:51:30] but you could also get checked the LMS at least once a day
[00:51:33] to see what kind of changes have been announced
[00:51:40] and any announcement that has come up.
[00:51:43] Thank you.
[00:51:44] Thanks for the time.
[00:51:46] Hi, I have one question.
[00:51:50] Regarding durations, sir.
[00:51:52] So the durations will start from today
[00:51:56] and will go till 11 months or how it is?
[00:52:04] Yes, Chandrasekhar.
[00:52:05] That's the structure of the program.
[00:52:06] Yes.
[00:52:08] Okay.
[00:52:09] I think the classes will start from tomorrow
[00:52:11] if I'm not mistaken.
[00:52:13] Today, I think you also have,
[00:52:14] but Pranthi, you have correct me if I'm wrong.
[00:52:19] Simran, I think you can, she must have logged the calendars.
[00:52:23] I will add on this.
[00:52:24] So tomorrow is the first class
[00:52:27] and we'll set up the introductory part tomorrow.
[00:52:32] So classes begin from tomorrow.
[00:52:35] Okay, ma'am.
[00:52:36] Thank you.
[00:52:38] And the second question is the complete schedule of this class,
[00:52:43] like on which day, what kind, which content we will going to have it.
[00:52:50] So those kinds of complete syllabus will be going to say it shortly, right?
[00:52:54] Yes, I will be taking you through that.
[00:52:57] So tomorrow is going to be an introductory session
[00:53:01] where I'm going to take you through mostly what I will be covering,
[00:53:06] a broad time plan.
[00:53:07] It's a tentative time plan.
[00:53:10] It might vary maybe one or two weeks here or there,
[00:53:14] but I will be taking you through the detailed topics
[00:53:17] and broad timelines of these topics.
[00:53:20] So that I'll be showing you tomorrow.
[00:53:23] You'll also get the schedule, the same thing we'll be sharing with you.
[00:53:28] Okay ma'am.
[00:53:29] Thank you.
[00:53:29] Thank you.
[00:53:35] Yes, we have Dwarke, if I can pronounce your name there.
[00:53:40] I can ask her that.
[00:53:41] Hi.
[00:53:42] So other questions regarding the timings is like,
[00:53:45] so tomorrow's session is from 9am to 10am.
[00:53:47] So going forward, like on which days, what will be the timings?
[00:53:52] Could you please share the details on it?
[00:53:56] So I can add on this.
[00:53:59] So Dwarke, initially for around a month,
[00:54:04] your timings, we will intimate to you after tomorrow.
[00:54:09] That's in the coming week, early coming week.
[00:54:12] After a month or so, your timings would be Saturday evenings 6 to 8
[00:54:18] and Sunday 10 to 12.
[00:54:21] That is a tentative thing after around a month.
[00:54:24] But during the next one month, they might vary.
[00:54:28] And but the classes will be on Saturday and Sunday only
[00:54:32] and not on any of the working days.
[00:54:35] This is because of some other things that are already scheduled
[00:54:43] during coming one month.
[00:54:46] And after that, it will be stabilized over the timings I have just intimated.
[00:54:50] So for that one month, you might have some different timings,
[00:54:54] which will be intimated to you early at the week.
[00:54:59] Thank you.
[00:54:59] And one of the question is you have also shared the IIT Roorkee Future & its platform.
[00:55:05] So is the login already provided?
[00:55:08] Because I'm not able to log into that platform yet.
[00:55:12] Rakesh, I'll just take a note of your name and we'll check and get back to you on this.
[00:55:18] Sure.
[00:55:18] Thank you.
[00:55:19] Thank you.
[00:55:23] I have a question.
[00:55:25] Can I go next?
[00:55:26] Yes.
[00:55:28] Thank you.
[00:55:29] First of all, thank you to everyone for helping us and guiding us in this program.
[00:55:35] I have a question regarding the communication.
[00:55:39] I understand between the Future & the IIT Roorkee and us,
[00:55:44] the communication is only email based.
[00:55:46] But at times during the while going through the program,
[00:55:51] we often have doubts or we want to discuss few things
[00:55:55] with the peers in the cohort.
[00:55:58] So is there any planned way how the people in this cohort can interact with each other?
[00:56:07] Yes.
[00:56:08] Sonali, thanks for highlighting this question.
[00:56:12] So again, I would direct your attention to the LMS.
[00:56:14] There is a discussion forum.
[00:56:16] And actually my suggestion would be now that you're a part of the cohort
[00:56:23] and you're on the official LMS at this point of time,
[00:56:27] you should go and introduce all of yourselves.
[00:56:29] You may be talk about your background where you come from,
[00:56:33] but use the discussion forum to interact with each other.
[00:56:38] So that's the channel where you can respond to your own queries, etc.
[00:56:44] And have a discussion with small groups or larger groups.
[00:56:51] To add on to this as well, we'll have an LMS orientation for you guys.
[00:56:55] So you can go and take you through the navigation of the LMS,
[00:57:01] how it is, where you have to see what kind of recordings, assignments,
[00:57:05] where is your material.
[00:57:07] So that will give you some clarity and you can very well utilize it to the fullest.
[00:57:11] So we'll be scheduling back somewhere in the next week
[00:57:15] and you will get an overview.
[00:57:16] The presentation from us.
[00:57:17] So just to clarify, your LMS orientation is today itself from three to four.
[00:57:22] Your calendars have been blocked already.
[00:57:25] Yeah. I actually, I have a follow question on that.
[00:57:28] I've seen the discussion forum.
[00:57:30] It's mostly where we add the topic and then we discuss on that, right?
[00:57:36] But like, I'm not sure when people add topics,
[00:57:40] they add different same subject through different time wordings, right?
[00:57:45] So sometimes it's really confusing.
[00:57:47] Like, and second thing is, I'm not sure.
[00:57:50] I haven't used it.
[00:57:51] Maybe once I use it, I'll know about it.
[00:57:54] But being within the LMS, what I have field is LMS is quite easy to access
[00:58:01] through desktop or tab kind of thing, but not with a mobile.
[00:58:05] So a continuous discussion is something that I feel will not happen.
[00:58:10] But if you guys can take that as a note and help us interact with each other,
[00:58:16] I feel it will be a little helpful for this entire team.
[00:58:22] I just wanted to ask a follow up question.
[00:58:25] Like, there's no policy with any objection with us creating a Slack channel
[00:58:31] or a Discord channel, right?
[00:58:33] Just to build up on what she was asking,
[00:58:35] because having a Slack or Discord created for the cohort would be easier
[00:58:41] for us to interact amongst each other.
[00:58:45] So, Shridhar, there is no policy against this,
[00:58:48] but I would also like to caution.
[00:58:49] This is again because all of us are speaking here from experience.
[00:58:55] And all of you are professionals.
[00:58:57] You come with a lot of experience.
[00:58:59] So I'm sure you would be able to conduct yourself professionally.
[00:59:03] But there have been instances where students have sent information
[00:59:10] about programs, sent announcements, which have no relevance to facts.
[00:59:15] And other students have believed in those
[00:59:18] and, you know, confusion arose.
[00:59:21] There have been situations where questions have been lost
[00:59:25] because so many questions come on top of each other.
[00:59:29] So you are welcome to create your own channels,
[00:59:32] but we will not recommend that you base that as the source of truth.
[00:59:38] And you would have to kind of conduct yourselves professionally.
[00:59:42] You would have to take responsibility of what information you are spreading
[00:59:46] or what information you are sharing and what information you are believing.
[00:59:51] So I would like to pause with that.
[00:59:54] And that's precisely why we do not encourage a social media group
[00:59:58] where anybody at any point of time can push a message
[01:00:01] and that might create confusion.
[01:00:06] That's not something that we would endorse at this point of time.
[01:00:11] I understand.
[01:00:12] So just a follow up to that.
[01:00:14] We can easily subcede this issue if someone from your team is interested to join the channel.
[01:00:21] So we can just make someone from FluctoSense a moderator
[01:00:24] and only they can post in that channel for communicating.
[01:00:27] It's a policy.
[01:00:29] If it's just about posting messages, then it's a strict policy
[01:00:33] that both, you know, IIT and Futureence follows
[01:00:36] that we will not do it on a social media channel.
[01:00:39] We'll be doing it through email.
[01:00:41] I think the point is not about announcements over here.
[01:00:44] The point that I think Sonali raised is about your own interaction.
[01:00:48] So that's something that we would not be able to, you know,
[01:00:55] support with a social media channel.
[01:00:57] Got it.
[01:00:57] Got it.
[01:00:58] Yeah.
[01:00:58] Thanks.
[01:01:02] Yes.
[01:01:03] Harath Kumar, you can ask a question.
[01:01:07] Hi, Devarathi.
[01:01:08] My question is on the same aspect.
[01:01:10] Though we are in the same batch, but we don't feel that we are connected.
[01:01:15] In future perspective, right, we may be assigned some projects that we have to work together.
[01:01:21] I'm not, I understand that Futureence has their own policies
[01:01:25] going to a social media.
[01:01:26] But how about having some sort of group conversations within the LMS itself?
[01:01:31] We are not good out of the ecosystem.
[01:01:33] You can have, I mean, we are not restricting you from using the LMS at all.
[01:01:39] We're just saying that any other channels, you know, that's something that
[01:01:44] IIT also does not endorse.
[01:01:46] It's a strict policy.
[01:01:47] And we would also not be able to endorse.
[01:01:50] And regarding group projects, that's something that Professor Thoshtiwal will
[01:01:55] share with you the modalities of group projects.
[01:01:58] And obviously, if you're working on a group, you have to interact with each other.
[01:02:02] But that's something that she will, you know, when the time comes, not right now.
[01:02:07] But going forward, she will explain to you how to do a good project and how to, you know,
[01:02:14] so all those modalities, obviously, we understand projects needs to be done.
[01:02:18] So do not worry about that.
[01:02:20] We are just talking about additional conversations between students
[01:02:25] beyond what is happening and, you know, announcements and all of that.
[01:02:30] Got it.
[01:02:33] Guru, you can ask a question.
[01:02:37] Hi, good morning everyone.
[01:02:38] So my questions, I have a couple of questions.
[01:02:42] So the first one is about the evaluation.
[01:02:44] So do we get to do any project kind of thing or will there be an exam kind of thing at the end of program?
[01:02:52] So I'll come in here.
[01:02:55] So Guru, I will be telling you all these things tomorrow in the starting session
[01:03:01] about what examination, project and other things to expect.
[01:03:07] So you'll have to wait until tomorrow and I'll definitely address this.
[01:03:11] Oh, sure.
[01:03:12] And the second thing is about the immersion program at IIT Rootkey.
[01:03:16] So we did not get any information about that in the orientation today.
[01:03:20] So could we get some info about that?
[01:03:24] So I can just add here that immersion is optional activity and that the plan to go ahead
[01:03:35] with the immersion will be intimated to you towards the, you know, towards the later part
[01:03:44] of the sessions and the schedule of this entire course.
[01:03:51] The immersion, happening of the immersion will depend on the availability of accommodation and
[01:03:57] other heuristics at IIT Rootkey.
[01:04:00] So you will come to know.
[01:04:02] So that is the thing about immersion.
[01:04:13] Vinit, you can ask your question.
[01:04:17] I just have the same suggestion on course material.
[01:04:22] It will be a great thing if we are given some extended access to the course material because
[01:04:27] I don't understand it as IP but then I delegated the helpers and one suggestion that
[01:04:31] have been made asking for started.
[01:04:33] If there is a possibility to give the certificate as a hard copy, it always adds to the experience.
[01:04:41] So it's that is something that can be accommodated in the date.
[01:04:49] So I think certificate as a hard copy is not provided.
[01:04:52] It's an IIT Rootkey policy and it's not something that we can make an exception for.
[01:05:00] This is the norm for all the programs that they have.
[01:05:03] So that's one and related to the extended material, extended timeline for access to the content.
[01:05:12] I think as I mentioned that you would have access to the content for six months.
[01:05:17] I think let's go through the program.
[01:05:19] We'll take, we'll make a note of this and we'll see, we'll request and see if this can be
[01:05:26] changed. But as of now, I think you still have 11 months to go.
[01:05:31] So let's get started with the program and then if any changes at all are permitted, we'll let you know.
[01:05:40] Sure, I get it. But what was the first part that you said that it's a policy that it's not supposed
[01:05:44] to be given?
[01:05:45] Yes, at the hard copy, yes.
[01:05:47] Why like what's the, I don't know, challenge around that?
[01:05:52] As I mentioned, Shridhar, I'm not sure who is this?
[01:05:56] Vinithi.
[01:05:57] Vinithi.
[01:05:57] Yes.
[01:05:59] It's a policy and I'm sure the policy has been made
[01:06:02] based on thinking through a lot of things.
[01:06:06] So I'm not able to tell you what the challenge is right now, but it's a policy and we'll have to follow it.
[01:06:12] No, I don't deny that. My only thing is that this can be taken up as a feedback.
[01:06:16] It could be something that could be really happening at a later point of time.
[01:06:20] I'm not telling you to understand that.
[01:06:22] Absolutely. We are making a note of this, but I would also recommend that at a later point of time,
[01:06:29] it would be very difficult if you say that this was raised and this was not made because right at the beginning.
[01:06:35] Yeah.
[01:06:35] Yeah.
[01:06:35] Yeah.
[01:06:36] I'm not sure you know to understand that. So I'll not be picking it up, but just a suggestion.
[01:06:42] So if it happens, good. If it doesn't happen, yeah, we'll deal with it.
[01:06:46] Sure.
[01:06:47] Thank you.
[01:06:50] We'll be taking these last two questions. Shridhar, can you please ask a question?
[01:06:56] Um, yeah, it's just a general question. Like, do we have any system requirement or
[01:07:02] hardware or specifications that we would want for this course?
[01:07:08] Because we'll be working with like LLMs and machine learning models, right?
[01:07:12] So is there any kind of GPU that you're looking for or any kind of installations?
[01:07:18] So let me take that. So actually what you're saying is correct that LLMs would definitely
[01:07:24] require GPU and all that stuff. However, looking at the entire batch and the availability of GPU may
[01:07:32] or may not be there, it's a costly piece to have. So right now our coding will be on
[01:07:41] common platforms and we'll try to and you can actually if you have access to GPU, you can use
[01:07:48] GPU at your end because code anyway you can run. So yeah, so right now I will not say that you will
[01:07:54] need a GPU for mandatorily. If you have one, you can use it. That's good.
[01:08:00] Yeah, just additional questions. Would we be getting access to any cloud
[01:08:08] platform for like training data or anything like that when we're working on the machine
[01:08:12] learning module? And the second part is would we be working with local LLMs or Olama or is that
[01:08:20] just a preference? So coming to the first part, presently the coding is being done on Colab.
[01:08:30] But it can be done if you have a separate environment. So Colab is generally used for all
[01:08:37] classwork hands on where all of us are in sync with each other. We take you through the code,
[01:08:43] we do coding and everybody does it on the same environment. However, if you have availability
[01:08:49] of some other better GPU or processor or whatever, you can do it on your own. So for our use,
[01:08:57] we'll be using Colab to have a uniformity. Secondly, I will be taking you through
[01:09:06] the content of what models will be taught in tomorrow's schedule. So you will be able to know that.
[01:09:15] Got it. Thank you. And no matter what model we teach, because this field is immense and there
[01:09:22] can be a lot of things. However, you will have enough background to catch on on any model that
[01:09:28] you would want. So that is a very important objective of this program to build you up to a level
[01:09:34] where you just not have information and knowledge about, you know, generative AI, genetic AI.
[01:09:42] Additionally, you have the foundation to catch upon any other models which are similar or are
[01:09:49] different. So I think that is even more important than just learning and getting restricted to
[01:09:56] some stuff. Okay, but I'll take you through the details tomorrow. Sure. Thank you.
[01:10:04] As discussed, we'll be taking one last question. Yogan, sorry. Yes. Yes. Thank you. This is Yogan.
[01:10:14] So I had, I mean, thanks for, you know, taking all our questions, even though they were repeated.
[01:10:20] But my question is once again, repeated because I didn't get clarity on the post this month. You said
[01:10:29] our courses will be Saturday Sunday. Saturday would be six to eight PM. And Sunday would be 10 to 12.
[01:10:37] Will that be in the evening or would that be in the morning? So I can clarify that, Yogan.
[01:10:45] The, and it is tentative. However, the final timings will be intimated to you.
[01:10:50] Okay. So tentatively, after a month or so, six to eight PM Indian time Saturday,
[01:10:57] and 10 to 12, 10 a.m. to 12 noon Indian time Sunday. But once again, I am again emphasizing
[01:11:05] these are tentative timings. However, the final timings will be intimated to you well in advance.
[01:11:12] Yeah. And for this one month, it might be during the morning hours, right?
[01:11:17] It might vary. So I'll have to actually check my schedule. It might be in the afternoon sometime.
[01:11:23] Or it might be in the morning that I'll let you know. So for this one month,
[01:11:29] probably week by week, I'll let you know. And after that, we'll share the final timings,
[01:11:36] which tentatively are announced. Sure. I hope the timings will be announced at least a day before
[01:11:43] just so that we can plan accordingly. Sure. Sure. Yes. Thank you so much. Thank you.
[01:11:51] Requesting Mersemer and I think location to kindly redirect your queries over email so we can
[01:11:58] get them resolved. Since we've come to the end of the session, I would, before we close,
[01:12:05] I would just want everybody to please keep their cameras on so we can have a commemorative
[01:12:10] picture to start tomorrow's journey. If we can, everyone have their cameras on please.
[01:12:24] Great. That should that should be it. Thank you. So thank you, everyone for joining.
[01:12:31] Thank you, Professor Toshniwal, Miss Goswami, Mr. Vikas Gupta and Dibarti for joining and
[01:12:38] interacting with the students. A big thank you for everyone who made this possible and to our
[01:12:43] new students. Welcome to the program. We request you to be a little patient. You will have all
[01:12:49] your queries addressed in due time. And thank you for your participation and encouragement.
[01:12:56] Thank you so much for joining us and we take a lead here. Thank you. Thank you. Bye.
[01:13:02] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, everyone. Have a good weekend. Yeah, thank you, everyone.
